セメント系塗り付け左官アートは、私が独自に展開しているアートで、セメントの無限の可能性を追求しています。この「無限の可能性」とは、単なる素材の特性だけでなく、コミュニケーションや共感の重要性をも含んでいます。一方で、左官という伝統的な職業には、次第に失われつつある貴重な技法があります。その中でも特に「洗い出し」という技法は、現代ではあまり見かけなくなっています。私はこのアートを通じて、伝統技法を再評価し、現代の文脈で新たな価値を見出すことに努めています。
Cement-based plastering art is an art that I have developed independently, and it pursues the infinite possibilities of cement. This "infinite possibilities" does not only refer to the characteristics of the material, but also includes the importance of communication and empathy. On the other hand, the traditional profession of plastering has valuable techniques that are gradually being lost. Among these, the technique of "washing out" is not often seen in modern times. Through this art, I strive to reevaluate traditional techniques and find new value in a modern context.
ストーリー -Story-
私は元々、左官という職業ではなく土木工事の職人として働いていました。
しかし、休日や仕事の合間に左官アートに夢中になり、独学では限界を感じていました。そこで福岡県の左官屋さんに声をかけたところ、SNSを通じて技術を教えていただくことができました。その方との出会いがなければ、今の私の姿はなかったでしょう。
私が描くのは、絵の具ではなく鏝（こて）を使った作品です。鏝絵は古くから存在していますが、現在ではセメントを用いた造形作品も多く見られます。私は造形するのではなく、塗り付けていく過程に楽しさを見出し、完璧さを求める中にも人間味あふれる作品作りを目指しています。私の作品は、見た瞬間にその大胆さと繊細さが一目でわかる、左官ならではの仕上がりを意識しています。
漆喰や土壁は一切取り入れず、セメント系の素材に絞り、作品作りに没頭しています。このこだわりが、私のアートの根底にある信念です。
Originally, I worked as a civil engineer, not as a plasterer.
However, on holidays and in between work, I became fascinated with plastering art, and felt that self-study had its limits. So I reached out to a plasterer in Fukuoka Prefecture, and he taught me his techniques through social media. If I hadn't met him, I wouldn't be where I am today.
I create works using a trowel, not paint. Trowel painting has existed for a long time, but nowadays, many sculptures are made using cement. I find joy in the process of applying paint, rather than creating shapes, and aim to create works that are full of humanity while striving for perfection.I am conscious of the boldness and delicacy of my works, which can be seen at a glance at the moment you see them, and I am conscious of the finish that only a plasterer can achieve.
I do not use any plaster or clay walls, and I focus on cement-based materials and immerse myself in creating my works. This commitment is the underlying belief in my art.
